Job Description – Mechanical Engineer – BOBRN (Mechanism)

Position: Mechanical Engineer – BOBRN (Door Mechanism)
Location: Andal, West Bengal
Department: Mechanical Maintenance
Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DOM)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Budget:3 LPA-4 LPA

Job Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities related to BOBRN wagon unloading systems.
- Inspect, operate, and maintain DOOR mechanisms and associated mechanical equipment.
- Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance activities
- Inspect cylinders, valves, linkages, pins, bearings, gearboxes, and other mechanical components.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential breakdowns.
- Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, and condition of mechanical components.
- Coordinate with technicians, welder, operators, and CHP operations teams.
- Support the team during major shutdowns, inspections,



and emergency breakdown maintenance.

Qualification

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Door Mechanism) – Mandatory.
- Mechanical Engineering candidates with relevant wagon maintainence preferably from railway background experience will be preferred.

Experience

- Experience in CHP, power plant, coal handling, railway wagon unloading, or heavy industrial mechanical maintenance preferred.
- Candidates with relevant mechanical maintenance experience will be given preference.

Key Requirement

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering-B Tech (DOM) is mandatory.

BOBRN/CHP mechanical maintenance experience will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
