Network Engineer L2 – Key Points

- Experience: 4–7 years
- Level: L2 Network Operations
- Shift: Global 24x7 support
- Cisco: Routing & Switching, Catalyst, Nexus
- Networking: LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN
- Protocols: VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, NAT, QoS
- Wireless: Cisco WLC, Access Points, Meraki
- Branch: Cradlepoint
- Network Services: Infoblox (DNS/DHCP/IPAM)
- Security: Cisco ISE, TACACS+, RADIUS, VPN
- Load Balancing: F5 LTM
- Monitoring: SolarWinds, NetBrain, LogicMonitor, SNMP/Syslog
- Automation: Basic Python / Ansible
- Operations: Incident, Service Request, Change Management & SLA
- Key focus: L2 troubleshooting, monitoring, incident resolution and escalation to L3
- Certification: CCNA required; CCNP/Meraki/F5 is an advantage

Mandatory skills:

Cisco + Routing/Switching + Meraki + Cisco Wireless + Infoblox + F5 LTM + Cisco ISE + OSPF/BGP.
