Role Overview

We are looking for experienced Databricks Developers to join a data engineering and analytics team supporting large-scale data platforms within the Pharma / Life Sciences / Healthcare domain.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark, Spark, SQL and modern cloud data platforms , along with experience designing or developing scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and data platforms using Databricks .
- Develop data engineering solutions using PySpark, Spark and SQL .
- Work with Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Databricks Workflows and Delta Live Tables (DLT) .
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines and data processing frameworks.
- Work with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP .
- Ensure data quality, performance, security and governance across data platforms.
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, analysts and business stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing Databricks workloads and data pipelines.
- For Architect-level roles, provide technical leadership,



solution design and architecture guidance for enterprise-scale data platforms.

Required Skills

- Strong experience with Databricks
- Robust PySpark / Spark / SQL experience
- Experience with Delta Lake
- Experience with Unity Catalog
- Experience with DLT / Databricks Workflows / Auto Loader
- Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP
- Strong understanding of data engineering, ETL/ELT and data warehousing concepts

Domain Experience

Experience working within Pharma, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Biotechnology, Medical Devices or related industries is highly preferred.

Experience with areas such as clinical data, patient data, commercial analytics, healthcare data, pharmaceutical data, clinical trials, real-world data or similar datasets would be an advantage.

Experience

Databricks Developer: 6+ years of overall IT experience with strong Databricks/data engineering experience.

Databricks Architect: 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong experience in data architecture, Databricks and enterprise-scale data platforms.
