Bengaluru

The Vice President, Finance is the CFO’s senior finance execution leader and is responsible for building and leading a high-performing, globally integrated finance organization, with the finance operations center based in Bangalore with regular overlap of U.S. Eastern Time . This is a build-and-transform position, not a business-as-usual finance role. We need an all-round finance leader and a doer: someone who can move from executive discussion into the detail, personally solve problems and deliver outputs while building the team and operating model. The mandate spans controllership, FP&A;, commercial finance, treasury, tax, systems and transformation to accelerate the TSA exit and drive profitable growth, margin expansion and cash generation. We are looking for Senior Professionals with 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years leading a broad finance function or major finance operations/shared-services organization

LEADERSHIP MANDATE

• Bring speed, execution capacity and experienced leadership to a time-critical Finance build, reducing the risk and cost of a prolonged transition.

• Build the insourced finance organization and transition activities from the seller/TSA environment into a scalable standalone operating model.

• Serve as the CFO’s principal operating partner, converting strategy and business priorities into clear finance execution, accountabilities and management cadence.

• Create a performance-led finance culture centered on revenue, backlog, utilization, billability, margin, EBITDA, working capital and cash.

• Ensure accurate, timely and compliant accounting, reporting, tax and treasury operations across the U.S., Canada and India.

• Develop a strong Bangalore finance center with clear service levels, documented processes, effective controls, capable leadership and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance Leadership and operating model

• Lead the global finance team and Bangalore finance operations center, defining organization structure, role clarity, objectives, service levels and performance standards.

• Remain personally involved in critical deliverables and problem solving; review the underlying data, challenge assumptions, resolve bottlenecks and step into execution where the team or process is not yet mature.

• Recruit, develop and retain a strong team across FP&A;, commercial finance, accounting, treasury, procurement, tax and finance systems; build succession and cross-training plans.

• Establish governance, operating calendars, escalation protocols and cross-functional partnership with Delivery, Sales, HR, Legal, Procurement and Technology.

• Lead transition planning, knowledge transfer, process documentation and stabilization as finance activities are insourced and the TSA is exited.

Controllership,

Reporting and Compliance

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close, including consolidation, account reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany accounting and management reporting.

• Ensure financial statements and reporting are accurate, timely and compliant with applicable accounting, statutory, tax and lender requirements.

• Maintain a strong internal-control workplace, including delegated authority, segregation of duties, reconciliations, evidence retention and audit readiness.

• Coordinate external audit, statutory reporting and technical accounting matters; identify and remediate control or reporting risks promptly.

FP&A; and Business Performance

• Lead the annual plan, rolling forecasts, long-range plan, monthly performance reviews and QBRs, with clear ownership of assumptions and actions.

• Deliver integrated analysis of revenue, pipeline, bookings, backlog, utilization, billability, pricing, project margin, operating expenses, EBITDA and cash.

• Partner with Delivery and Sales leaders on capacity, hiring, resource mix, rate realization, deal economics, project health and corrective actions.

• Build decision-ready dashboards, scenarios and performance narratives for the CFO, CEO, board and lenders; ensure one source of truth across reporting.

Treasury, Working Capital and Commercial Discipline

• Oversee cash forecasting, banking operations, liquidity, payments, collections, AR/AP, foreign exchange and working-capital improvement.

• Drive disciplined cash conversion through billing, collections, DSO, payment terms, backlog conversion and management of deferred and unbilled revenue.

• Support debt, covenant and lender reporting and ensure financing information is accurate, consistent and delivered on schedule.

• Strengthen procurement, vendor management, spend visibility, contract compliance and cost-optimization discipline.

Tax, Systems, and Transformation

• Co-ordinate with Service Providers and Accounting/Audit firms to oversee U.S., Canada and India tax and statutory compliance, including corporate income tax, sales/use tax, GST/HST/VAT, India GST/TDS and entity filings, supported by internal specialists and external advisers.

• Act as the senior finance business owner for NetSuite, Concur and connected reporting and data workflows; ensure design supports control, scalability and actionable reporting.

• Standardize processes,

automate reporting and reconciliations, improve data quality and reduce close and reporting cycle times.

• Define and monitor finance KPIs and service levels, using root-cause analysis and continuous improvement to raise quality and productivity.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Chartered Accountant and current member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India; bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.

• 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years leading a broad finance function or major finance operations/shared-services organization.

• Broad, hands-on experience across accounting and close, FP&A;, treasury and cash, working capital, tax, audit, controls, systems and finance operations; a narrow single-discipline profile will not be sufficient.

• Demonstrated ownership of controllership, FP&A;, management reporting, treasury, controls, audit and cross-border finance operations.

• Proven experience setting up, scaling or transforming finance teams in India, ideally within a GCC, shared-services center or finance center of excellence, including organization design, hiring, process transition, documentation, team enablement and stabilization.

• Strong hands-on FP&A; leadership, including annual planning, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, management reporting, scenario analysis, business partnering and performance review cadence.

• Strong understanding of professional-services economics, including revenue forecasting, pipeline and backlog, utilization, billability, resource capacity, pricing, project margins and cash conversion.

• Experience operating across India and North America and partnering directly with CFO, CEO, board, auditors and senior business leaders.

• Strong systems and data capability, with experience in ERP/EPM implementation, reporting automation and advanced Excel; NetSuite, Concur, Power BI, Anaplan, Adaptive or similar platforms are advantageous.

• Excellent written and verbal English, executive communication, judgment and ability to provide regular overlap with U.S. Eastern Time.
