We are looking for an experienced SAP EWM Techno-Functional Consultant with Warehouse Automation expertise. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) along with knowledge of warehouse automation, integration with automated material handling systems, and technical development.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, configure, implement, and support SAP EWM solutions for complex warehouse operations.
- Work across both functional and technical aspects of SAP EWM.
- Configure core EWM processes including:
- Inbound and Outbound Processing
- Putaway and Picking
- Internal Warehouse Movements
- Replenishment
- Physical Inventory
- Wave Management
- Handling Units
- Labor Management
- Slotting and Rearrangement
- Cross-Docking
- Yard Management
- Design and implement warehouse automation solutions integrated with SAP EWM.
- Work with automated warehouse equipment such as:
- AS/RS
- Conveyors
- Automated Storage Systems
- Sorters
- Palletizers/Depalletizers
- Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs/AMRs)
- Pick-to-Light / Put-to-Light systems
- Configure and support Material Flow System (MFS)



integration within SAP EWM.
- Work on communication between SAP EWM and PLC/WCS/WES/automation systems .
- Analyze and troubleshoot warehouse automation issues, message queues, communication failures, and material-flow exceptions.
- Develop and maintain technical solutions using ABAP , enhancements, BAdIs, user exits, and EWM-specific frameworks.
- Work on PPF, qRFC, IDocs, APIs, Web Services, and interfaces for EWM integration.
- Configure and troubleshoot RF Framework / RF transactions and mobile warehouse processes.
- Integrate EWM with SAP S/4HANA, ERP, MM, SD, PP, TM , and other systems.
- Support master-data integration including products, packaging specifications, warehouse structures, storage types, bins, and activity areas.
- Participate in requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, and technical/functional specifications.
- Lead integration testing between SAP EWM and warehouse automation equipment.
- Support SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and production support .
- Analyze incidents and provide root-cause analysis and permanent solutions.
- Coordinate with warehouse operations, automation vendors, PLC/WCS teams, SAP technical teams, and business stakeholders.
- Prepare functional specifications, technical specifications, configuration documents, test scripts, and user documentation.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in SAP EWM .
- Strong understanding of SAP EWM architecture and warehouse processes .
- Experience in SAP EWM Techno-Functional roles.




- Good knowledge of SAP EWM MFS (Material Flow System) .
- Experience integrating EWM with WCS/WES/PLC and warehouse automation systems .
- Strong knowledge of ABAP development and debugging .
- Experience with:
- BAdIs / Enhancements
- PPF
- qRFC
- IDocs
- APIs/Web Services
- Interfaces
- RF Framework
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA EWM is preferred.
- Good understanding of integration with SAP ERP/S/4HANA, MM, SD, PP, and TM .
- Ability to troubleshoot both functional EWM issues and technical/integration issues.

Automation Expertise – Preferred

- Experience working on automated warehouse implementations .
- Understanding of MFS communication and telegram/message processing .
- Experience with AS/RS, conveyors, sorters, shuttle systems, AGVs/AMRs , or similar warehouse automation.
- Understanding of WCS/WES architecture and PLC interfaces .
- Experience coordinating with automation OEMs/vendors.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues across SAP EWM → MFS → WCS/PLC → warehouse equipment .
- Knowledge of warehouse automation monitoring and error-handling processes.
