Key Job Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.
- Build responsive, high-performance user interfaces that simplify complex data through intuitive dashboards, visualizations, document viewers, and real-time updates.
- Own the frontend architecture, component libraries, and application performance to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Develop secure and reliable backend APIs and services capable of handling real-world production workloads.
- Build and manage asynchronous processing pipelines, job queues, streaming services, file handling, and cloud-based storage solutions.
- Design robust database schemas, implement authentication and authorization mechanisms, and maintain billing, usage tracking, logging, and audit trails.
- Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications on cloud infrastructure while ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Develop AI/ML-powered solutions for processing and extracting insights from structured and unstructured documents.
- Implement document intelligence capabilities, including OCR, layout analysis, text segmentation, and information extraction from scanned and complex documents.
- Build and optimize Large Language Model (LLM) applications using techniques such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, structured outputs, and tool integration.
- Ensure AI model outputs are accurate, explainable, and traceable to source data by implementing grounding and validation mechanisms.
- Establish evaluation frameworks, define accuracy metrics, perform regression testing, and continuously monitor model performance.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to transform product ideas into production-ready solutions, taking complete ownership from design through deployment.
- Continuously improve product quality by adopting best engineering practices, writing maintainable code,



and proactively resolving technical challenges.
- Work effectively in a rapid-paced startup environment, contributing to technical decisions, innovation, and product strategy.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years building and shipping production software, with real depth in of frontend, backend and ML — and genuine competence in the third.

• Practical experience with machine learning or LLM-based systems in production, not just prototypes and demos.

• Comfortable with messy, real-world data and the engineering required to make it usable.

• You measure things. You'd rather show a number than offer an opinion.

• Clear written communication and sound judgement — you'll often be the only person who can review a decision.

• Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities in an early-stage environment.

Nice to have: fintech, insurance or legal-tech experience; document AI (OCR, layout models); data or ML infrastructure; early-stage startup background.
