Job Description Primary Responsibilities

- Project customer requirements into BOM, drawings, specifications, DFMEA etc. n
- Design and develop steering column products that adhere to industry best practices and as per customer requirements. n
- Design the steering column product keeping manufacturing and cost competitiveness balance. n
- Review & release the Child parts, Sub-Assembly & Saleable assembly design Collaborate with the Quality, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams to ensure that designs meet requirements. n
- Mitigate the potential risks via design upgrade through cross functional team including customer, internal team members and suppliers. n
- Lead problem solving / root cause analysis. n
- Develop and maintain DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) for all released products. n
- Explicit understanding on Validation requirement of any steering column and plan for Internal and customer specific ADVP. n




- In-depth knowledge of current steering column technology and understand the future trends n
- Enhancing the current system design with new technology and based on future OEM requirements. n
- Fair knowledge of CAD and CAE tools n
- Ensure seamless communication and documentation between all stakeholders. n
- Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation throughout the product lifecycle. n
- Leverage knowledge of local supplier bases and competitor product landscapes to inform design decisions. n
- Manage SOR / DV builds / Proto samples / Component and Product level testing requirements n
- Change management /MAPP / Deviation protocol to be followed n
- Knowledge of GD&T;, Tolerance Stack up & Fits calculations n
