Job Title: Sewing Trainee
Department: Production
Reports To: Sewing Supervisor / Line Supervisor
Job Purpose
The Sewing Trainee will undergo training to develop the skills required to operate sewing machines and produce garments according to company quality and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and operate different types of sewing machines.
- Follow instructions provided by the trainer and supervisor.
- Perform assigned sewing operations according to standard operating procedures.
- Maintain the required quality standards during production.
- Check garments for stitching defects and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Handle fabrics and garment components carefully.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping at the workstation.
- Follow all safety rules and company policies.
- Meet the expected training and performance targets.
- Continuously improve sewing speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Basic education preferred.
- No previous sewing experience is required; training will be provided.
- Basic understanding of garment production is an added advantage.

Working Conditions
- Work will be performed in a garment manufacturing/production workplace.
