This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Assistant Manager, Trustee Billing and Reporting based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to lead critical billing and revenue reporting operations within the mortgage and real estate services sector.
You’ll oversee a team responsible for milestone-based trustee billing, ensuring invoices are accurate, timely, and aligned with customer and contractual requirements.
The position combines people leadership, operational oversight, financial analysis, and stakeholder management in a high-volume, SLA-driven environment.
You’ll play a key role in preventing revenue leakage by ensuring billable activities are identified, tracked, and invoiced appropriately.
You’ll also contribute to revenue forecasting, month-end reporting, variance analysis, audits, and internal control activities.
The role provides an opportunity to drive process improvements, automation, and AI-enabled initiatives that improve accuracy and scalability.
It is well suited to an experienced mortgage or title industry professional who brings strong analytical skills, ownership, and a collaborative leadership style.

Accountabilities:

- Lead and oversee Trustee Billing operations, including Billing Team Leads and Billing Analysts, ensuring milestone-based billing is completed accurately and within established SLAs.
- Manage the end-to-end trustee billing lifecycle, ensuring all billable services are invoiced accurately, promptly, and according to customer requirements and contractual timelines.
- Ensure transferred loans and servicing portfolios are identified promptly and that all billable activities are tracked and invoiced to the appropriate servicer, helping prevent revenue leakage.
- Monitor billing volumes, workflow performance, aged unbilled balances, operational bottlenecks, and SLA adherence, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Coach and develop team members while maintaining a motivated, accountable, and high-performing billing organization.
- Prepare regular SLA reports, operational updates, risk assessments, and performance metrics for senior leadership.
- Prepare and review weekly and month-end revenue reporting based on completed milestones and delivered services.
- Ensure revenue activity is accurately communicated to Accounting within month-end close timelines, including Business Day 1 reporting requirements.




- Maintain visibility of recognized but unbilled revenue and ensure timely invoicing when billing milestones are achieved.
- Prepare monthly revenue forecasts using actual results, trends, operational activity, and pipeline information.
- Coordinate monthly revenue review meetings with the Corporate Controller and relevant stakeholders, covering actual results, forecasts, variances, billing trends, and revenue risks.
- Prepare forecast packages and monthly revenue reporting for management and business leadership.
- Perform variance analysis and provide clear commentary on business performance and revenue trends.
- Support internal and external audits, SOX compliance activities, reconciliations, and documentation requirements.
- Drive process improvement, automation, and AI-enabled initiatives to enhance billing accuracy, efficiency, reporting quality, and scalability.
- Partner with Operations, Finance, Accounting, and client stakeholders to maintain strong service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain appropriate internal controls, audit trails, approvals, and supporting documentation for billing and revenue-related activities.

Requirements:
- Graduate degree or equivalent educational qualification.
- 7+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably within the title or mortgage industry.
- Strong people leadership, coaching, team development, and performance management capabilities.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and priorities within a high-volume, SLA-driven operational environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, with strong analytical capabilities.
- Experience with MS SQL and the ability to work with operational and financial data.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a willingness to perform detailed analysis when required.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy, quality, and operational controls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, senior leaders, and client stakeholders.
- Proactive, assertive, self-motivated,



and deadline-conscious, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and operate effectively in a dynamic organization.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to work independently when required.
