Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design, engineering, and execution of hydropower and pumped storage projects. The role involves detailed design and coordination of electro-mechanical (E&M;) systems including turbines, generators, balance of plant (BOP), and associated electrical and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed designs for electro-mechanical systems in hydropower and pumped storage projects
- Prepare specifications,



design calculations, and technical drawings for:
- Turbines (Francis, Pelton, Kaplan, reversible pump-turbines)
- Generators and excitation systems
- Transformers, switchgear, and protection systems
- Balance of plant systems (cooling water, drainage, compressed air, HVAC)
- Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with project requirements
- Coordinate between mechanical and electrical disciplines for integrated system design
- Ensure compatibility between turbine-generator systems and grid requirements
- Support interface management between civil, hydro-mechanical, and E&M; components
- Prepare technical reports, design basis documents, BOQs, and tender specifications
- Support preparation of bid documents and technical evaluations
- Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, IEEE, ISO, etc.)
- Provide engineering support during manufacturing, installation, and commissioning
- Review
