Role Overview

n

The Fashion Designer will be responsible for researching trends, designing new collections, developing concepts, and coordinating with production teams to bring commercially successful products to market.

Key Responsibilities

n

1. Design & Collection Development

n

n
- Create creative designs for loungewear, nightwear, co-ord sets, and everyday wear .
n
- Develop seasonal and monthly collections aligned with brand vision.
n
- Prepare mood boards, color stories, fabric concepts, and silhouettes.
n

n

2. Trend Research & Market Insights

n

n
- Research latest fashion trends, customer preferences, and competitor products.
n
- Translate market insights into commercially viable designs.
n
- Stay updated with global and Indian fashion trends.
n

n

3. Tech Packs & Sampling

n

n
- Prepare detailed tech packs, measurements, trims, and construction details .
n
- Coordinate with sampling team for prototype development.
n
- Review samples and suggest corrections for fit, styling, and finishing.
n

n

4. Fabric & Trim Selection

n

n
- Source fabrics, prints, trims,



and accessories suitable for collections.
n
- Work with vendors for fabric development and approvals.
n

n

5. Production Coordination

n

n
- Work closely with merchandising and production teams for bulk execution.
n
- Ensure designs are production-friendly, cost-effective, and on schedule.
n

n

6. Brand & Product Innovation

n

n
- Maintain consistent brand aesthetic and product identity.
n
- Suggest new categories, silhouettes, and design directions.
n

n

n

Skills & Requirements

n

n
- Strong creative sense with understanding of fashion trends & apparel construction .
n
- Good knowledge of fabrics, fits, prints, and garment finishing.
n
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar tools .
n
- Ability to create tech packs and production-ready specs.
n
- Robust communication and coordination skills.
n

Preferred Qualifications

n

n
- 4-10 years of experience in women’s wear / loungewear / apparel design .
n
- Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design (NIFT/NID/Pearl or equivalent preferred).
n
- Experience in fast-fashion or D2C brands is a plus.
