WE’RE HIRING | FASHION DESIGNER – KALISTA

KALISTA is looking for a creative and experienced Fashion Designer with a strong expertise in embroidery design & development to join our design team in Noida .

n

We’re looking for someone with a refined design sensibility and a strong understanding of Indian occasion wear, contemporary silhouettes, embroidery techniques, surface ornamentation and prints .

n

A key part of this role will be conceptualising and developing original embroidery stories for our collections — from initial inspiration and motifs to placements, colour combinations, techniques and final execution.

Key Responsibilities:

n

- Conceptualise and develop new collections from moodboard to final garment
n
- Create and develop original embroidery concepts, motifs, layouts and placement designs
n
- Build detailed embroidery moodboards and stories for each collection
n
- Experiment with hand embroidery, threadwork, beadwork, sequins, appliqué and mixed surface techniques
n
- Develop embroidery placements specifically for Lehengas, Blouses, Sarees, Anarkalis, Jackets, Dresses and Indo-Western silhouettes
n
- Create cutting-edge combinations of embroidery, prints, textures and surface embellishments
n
- Work closely with karigars and embroidery vendors to translate concepts into high-quality samples
n
- Select and develop appropriate threads, beads, sequins, stones and other embroidery materials
n
- Create embroidery swatches and sampling trials before finalising designs
n




- Develop contemporary silhouettes while maintaining the KALISTA design language
n
- Research Indian craftsmanship as well as international runway trends, embroidery techniques and surface developments
n
- Prepare sketches, technical references and specifications for sampling
n
- Work closely with pattern masters, sampling and production teams
n
- Conduct fittings and make design corrections through the sampling process.

What We’re Looking For:

n

n
- Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design
n
- 3–5+ years of relevant experience in Indian occasion wear / designer wear
n
- Strong hands-on experience in embroidery design and development is essential
n
- Excellent understanding of embroidery techniques, placements, motifs, materials and colour combinations
n
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, silhouettes and prints
n
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator ; Procreate is an advantage
n
- Ability to translate inspiration into commercial yet distinctive designs
n
- Ability to independently take a design from concept → embroidery development → sampling → finished garment
n
