SolarWinds Engineer - Job Description
- Install, configure, and maintain SolarWinds platform (NPM, NCM, SAM, NetFlow).
- Design and implement network monitoring solutions for LAN, WAN, and DC environments.
- Perform device onboarding, SNMP/WMI configuration, and monitoring template setup.
- Create dashboards, alerts, reports,



and performance thresholds for proactive monitoring.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity; troubleshoot incidents and outages.
- Integrate SolarWinds with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) for alert‑to‑ticket automation., onboarding devices to SolarWinds
- Perform upgrades, patching, backups, and health checks of SolarWinds environment.
- Analyze trends and provide capacity planning and optimization recommendations.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and monitoring standards for operations teams.

a. Interact with the internal project or client to understand the project requirement from a tool perspective

b. Design the solution keeping in mind the tool requirements, current tools available as well as details on licenses required etc.
