Responsibilities
- You will be working and supporting on a range of infrastructure schemes to independently develop engineering drawings in accordance with the relevant standards.
- You will be expected to play a proactive part in the design process and to be active on several projects at any given time.
- You will be contributing to all types of projects.
- You will be using AutoCAD, MicroStation and other design softwares for the production and development of drawings.
- You will read and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures for Health and Safety including the H&S; Policy and Manuals.
- You will take responsibility for own personal development with the support of line manager and follow an agreed development plan
- You will assist in the development of others in the team/ Line Management
Qualifications
- Ability to utilise AutoCAD or MicroStation in adherence to defined CAD standards to develop layouts, labelling, dimensioning, sheet layout, design details and other appropriate design concepts.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models to assist with investigations of engineering problems.
- Proven ability to work up drawings (plans, sections & details) from Engineers basic sketches to full working drawings
- Ability to liaise with the design teams as necessary to coordinate design and drawing production.
- Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects with the ability to accurately predict the time required to fulfil the individual scopes of work required.
- Assists with establishing, maintaining and enforcing the use of proper CAD standards and procedures.
- Undertake reviews of work produced by others to ensure high quality of CAD output.
- UK project experience and working knowledge of UK design standards
- You should be able to demonstrate some experience and working knowledge of relevant technical design guidance and standards, such as DMRB, MfS, TSRGD,
