Researcher | Community Empowerment Lab (CEL)

Community Empowerment Lab (CEL) is a purpose-driven evidence-to-scale lab working to transform the care of mothers and newborns across India and the Global South. We work at the intersection of rigorous science and human experience, co-creating and scaling health systems and community-led solutions for maternal, newborn, and child health.

To bring this vision alive from the inside out, within our research, we are seeking a Researcher, someone who can help shape CEL’s research architecture.

The Role

You will collaborate with the Director of Research Systems and a dynamic team of scientists to transform how CEL’s research delivers real-time impact for communities.



By blending robust scientific expertise with an innovator’s mindset, you will challenge conventions, advance frontiers, and accelerate the translation of evidence into life-saving solutions. As a key leader, you will shape CEL’s approach to scientific inquiry and impact by designing research frameworks and cooperative methodologies grounded in compassion, rigour, and excellence. Through your guidance, CEL will cultivate a culture of continuous learning, dynamic knowledge exchange, and evidence-based innovation—ensuring our research generates new insights and delivers meaningful outcomes for the communities and partners we serve.

Your work will include:

• Lead the design of rigorous research protocols (cluster RCTs, implementation science, mixed-methods studies).

• Drive/Support proposal development, donor reporting, grant management, and ethical reviews.
