Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Hydromechanical Expert with over 20 years of professional experience in the planning, design, engineering, and execution of hydromechanical systems for hydropower and pumped storage projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in the design and review of intake gates, spillway gates, stoplogs, trash racks, penstocks, embedded parts, hoisting equipment, and associated hydromechanical components.



The role involves leading multidisciplinary engineering teams, providing technical guidance, ensuring compliance with international standards, and supporting project execution from feasibility through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and engineering of hydromechanical systems for hydropower and pumped storage projects.
- Prepare and review the design of:
- Intake gates
- Spillway radial and vertical lift gates
- Emergency and maintenance gates
- Stoplogs and bulkheads
- Trash racks and trash cleaning systems
- Penstocks, bifurcations, manifolds, and steel liners
- Embedded parts and gate sealing systems
- Hoisting equipment and hydraulic operating systems
- Perform hydraulic and structural design calculations for gates and penstocks.
- Review design criteria, technical specifications, drawings, calculations, and tender documents.
- Ensure compliance with applicable international standards and codes such as ICOLD, AS
