We're Hiring: Rotordynamics Engineer – Gas Turbine Systems

LAT Aerospace is developing next-generation aerospace systems from first principles. This includes a hybrid electric aircraft that takes off and lands within a space of a parking lot, Defence systems built from ground up and scalable Gas Turbine Engines.
We are looking for Rotordynamics Engineers to own the analysis and development of high-speed rotating systems from architecture through testing. You will work across shafts, disks, bearings, seals, clearances, and structural dynamics to ensure the rotating system operates safely and reliably across the full engine operating envelope.

What you’ll do
- Own rotordynamics analysis including critical speeds, Campbell diagrams, mode shapes, damping, stability, and synchronous/asynchronous response.
- Develop and optimize shaft, disk, bearing, coupling, and rotating assembly architectures.
- Analyze tip clearances and thermal growth across cold start, steady-state, and transient operating conditions.




- Perform structural, thermal, fatigue, and creep analysis of high-speed rotating components.
- Evaluate bearing, seal, damping, and support-system behaviour and drive design improvements.
- Analyze rotor response to unbalance, blade excitation, engine orders, and other dynamic loads.
- Work closely with mechanical, thermal, aerodynamic, and manufacturing teams to develop integrated rotating systems.
- Define and support rotor balancing, instrumentation, and experimental validation of rotordynamic models.
- Correlate analytical models with test data and drive design iterations based on experimental results.

What we're looking for
- 5+ years of skilled experience in rotordynamics, turbomachinery, or high-speed rotating machinery.
- Postgraduate degree (M.Tech/MS/PhD) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong fundamentals in rotordynamics, vibration, structural dynamics
