Job Description
We are looking for a Power BI Developer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise Power BI solutions utilizing Databricks as the primary data source. This position will be a contract and remote.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, test,
and deploy enterprise Power BI dashboards and reports using Databricks as the primary data source
- Partner with stakeholders and product owners to translate KPIs, reporting needs, and analytical questions into wireframes, technical designs, and delivery plans
- Build scalable semantic models using star schemas, conformed dimensions, reusable measures, and clearly defined business logic
- Develop advanced DAX measures, calculation groups, time-intelligence logic, and Power Query (M) transformations for accurate and maintainable reporting
- Connect Power BI to Databricks SQL Warehouses, Delta Lake tables, and governed views using Import, DirectQuery, and composite models
- Collaborate with Databricks engineers to define gold-layer datasets, optimize SQL, and ensure data quality, lineage, and business-rule consistency
- Design intuitive report experiences using drill-through, bookmarks, tooltips, condition
