JD: Senior Executive - Technology Transfer and Kilo Lab 1. Responsibilities • Participate to make successful scale up of technology transfer products from R&D; / Kilo lab / pilot plant to commercial plant scale. • Selection of suitable plant facility, equipment fitment and propose modifications if required. • Achievement of designed yield and quality during project execution in plant. • Safely and successfully execution of Kilo lab campaigns, preparation of kilo lab reports capturing all the key learning’s and future recommendations. • Timely delivery of development quantity of API from Kilo Lab / Pilot Plant / Plant. • Acquiring through process understanding by observing batches at lab scale and collect / generate data of various unit operations from scale-up point of view for Mixing studies, reaction kinetics, mass transfer, heat transfer, extraction, distillation, crystallisation, filtration and drying etc. • Re-engineering difficult / hazardous unit operations using data from process safety studies / calculations (Gas liberation rate / vent sizing etc.).
• Conducting Particle characterization studies to assess impact of process parameters on morphology and particle size distribution. • Develop solvent recovery procedure for spent solvent streams and create specifications for recovered solvents based on performance batch data. • Establish reuse of recovered solvents in the process as per prepared solvent recovery package. • Coordination of activities between various departments (CRD/AR&D;/RA/QA/Pilot Plant/ Manufacturing/PMO/EHS/FR&D; etc.) for smooth and speedy scale-up work. • Participate / conduct process risk assessment, safety reviews & HAZOP prior to start of batches at commercial scale and implementation of safety recommendations. • To establish mass and energy balance data. • Screening of process technologies for yield improvement and waste minimization. • To prepare Block diagrams, PFD, P&ID;, presentations and reports etc. • Lab experiment trial conducting/
