Job Purpose
To learn and perform basic sewing operations while maintaining the required quality, productivity, and safety standards. The trainee will undergo on-the-job training to develop the skills necessary to become a Sewing Operator.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend all sewing training sessions as scheduled.
- Learn machine handling and basic garment sewing operations.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Perform assigned sewing operations under the guidance of the trainer.
- Maintain the required quality standards and minimize defects.
- Achieve the daily learning and productivity targets set by the trainer.
- Handle machines, tools, and materials carefully.
- Maintain cleanliness and 5S practices at the workstation.
- Follow all safety rules and wear the required PPE.
- Report machine issues, quality concerns, or material shortages to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
- Work effectively as part of the production team.
- Participate in skill development and continuous improvement activities.
Educational Qualification
- 8th Standard / 10th Standard / 12th Standard (Preferred)
