Role Overview

The Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations across the company and its operating properties. The role will also coordinate and oversee the work of a small accounts team, ensuring tasks are clearly assigned, followed up, and completed accurately and on time. Through accurate reporting, solid financial controls, effective team coordination, and timely closure of financial activities, this role supports informed decision-making and the overall financial health of the company.

Key Responsibilities

● Maintain accurate accounting records for multiple properties.

● Track and update property-wise expenses and project expenses.

● Process salary, vendor, property partner, rent, software and other regular payments.

● Handle Amazon purchases, Porter payments, petty cash and other operational expenses.

● Maintain invoices, bills, receipts, payment proofs and other financial documents.

● Reconcile monthly expenses and identify and resolve discrepancies.

● Follow up on pending invoices, approvals, agreements and payments.

● Handle property partner accounts, payouts and monthly reports.

● Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports, including expense reports, tracking reports and P&L.;

● Monitor outstanding and suspense entries and ensure timely closure.





● Support project accounting and ensure accounts are properly closed when a property goes live.

● Ensure all accounting activities are completed within the required timelines.

● Support management with accurate financial information and basic financial analysis.

● Coordinate and oversee a small team of up to 3 members, clearly assigning responsibilities and priorities.

● Track team progress, follow up on pending tasks, and ensure assigned accounting activities are completed accurately and within deadlines.

Key Requirements

- 3–6 years of experience in Accounts, Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a similar finance role, with hands-on experience managing end-to-end accounting activities.
- Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals, bookkeeping, reconciliations, payments, expenses, and financial reporting.
- Strong Excel and accounting software skills with the ability to manage and analyse financial data accurately.
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts/properties, priorities, and recurring financial deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, problem-solving, and follow-through with a high level of ownership.
- Experience coordinating or supervising a small accounts team and ensuring tasks are assigned, monitored, and completed accurately and on time.
