We develop original product designs for global clients, with a strong focus on quality, precision, and practical manufacturing.Role DescriptionH K EXPORTS is looking for a 3D Designer specializing in STL file creation and 3D-printing-ready models. This is a part time, remote position focused specifically on converting product concepts, sketches, reference images, and design ideas into accurate 3D printable models and production-ready STL files.The designer will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models that can be directly used for 3D printing, prototype development, and mould/die making. The role requires a strong understanding of 3D geometry, dimensions, wall thickness, tolerances, printability, and practical manufacturing requirements.Key Responsibilities* Create accurate 3D models from reference images, sketches, and product concepts.* Develop STL files specifically optimized for 3D printing.* Ensure models are watertight, manifold, and free from non-printable geometry.* Design practical geometry suitable for different 3D-printing processes.* Maintain appropriate wall thickness, clearances, tolerances, and structural strength.* Create models with clean surfaces and accurate dimensions.* Modify and refine existing 3D models according to manufacturing requirements.* Design models that can be used for prototypes, moulds, dies, and production development.* Identify and eliminate issues such as non-manifold edges, intersecting geometry, unnecessary undercuts,



floating surfaces, and mesh errors.* Provide final files in STL format, along with other 3D formats when required.* Make revisions based on physical 3D-printing test results and manufacturing feedback.* Maintain organized project files and version control.Required Qualifications* Strong skills in 3D modeling and CAD/3D design.* Proven experience creating STL files for 3D printing.* Strong understanding of 3D-printing requirements and limitations.* Experience with software such as Blender, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino, ZBrush, 3ds Max, or similar 3D modeling software.* Ability to accurately model objects from 2D images, sketches, measurements, and reference photographs.* Good understanding of mesh topology, watertight geometry, wall thickness, tolerances, and print orientation.* Ability to create both organic/decorative shapes and precise technical geometry.* Experience preparing models for FDM, resin/SLA, or other 3D-printing technologies is preferred.* Experience designing models for moulds, dies, casting, or manufacturing will be an advantage.* Strong attention to detail and dimensional accuracy.* Ability to work independently and deliver files within agreed timelines.Important RequirementThis position is not focused on rendering, animation, lighting, or marketing visualization.The primary requirement is:Reference Design → Accurate 3D Model → 3D-Printing-Ready STL FileThe selected designer must be able to create practical, technically correct, and production-ready STL files, rather than only visually attractive 3D renders.Work TypePart-time | Remote | Project-basedCandidates should be able to share examples of previous STL/3D-printing work, particularly products or models that were actually 3D printed.
