We are seeking an experienced BIM/Revit Designer to work closely with our Engineering, Project Delivery, and Construction teams to develop and maintain high-quality 3D BIM models and detailed construction drawings for industrial and infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for translating engineering concepts, layouts, and calculations into coordinated BIM models and detailed fabrication, installation, and construction drawings. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical & mechanical systems, with particular emphasis on multidisciplinary coordination within Autodesk Revit.
Key Responsibilities
Design & BIM Modelling
- Develop and maintain detailed BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
- Produce construction-ready drawings including:
- General arrangement drawings.
- Plans, sections and elevations.
- Equipment layouts.
- Cable routing and containment layouts.
- HVAC and mechanical services
- Create and manage BIM families and project templates.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project standards and client requirements.
Engineering Coordination
- Liaise directly with Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Structural Engineers.
- Attend design review and coordination meetings.
- Incorporate engineering comments and design changes into BIM models and drawings.
- Coordinate interfaces between disciplines to identify and resolve clashes.
- Support engineering teams during design development and construction phases.
Documentation & Quality
- Produce detailed drawing packages for client approval and construction.
- Manage drawing revisions and document control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with BIM execution plans and project workflows.
- Conduct model reviews and quality checks prior to issue.
Project Support
- Assist project managers and engineers with design coordination.
- Support site teams with drawing updates and as-built documentation.
- Participate in clash detection and model coordination exercises.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of BIM standards and processes.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in BIM modelling and technical drawing production.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Strong understanding of:
- Electrical systems.
- Mechanical systems.
- Coordinate the install of M and E systems in buildings.
- Experience producing detailed construction and installation drawings.
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications and technical information.
- Robust attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
