We work with early stage startups and growing companies, several with cross border structures across India, the US and Singapore, across accounting and compliance retainers, company secretarial support, financial and tax due diligence, incorporation, and Virtual CFO engagements.We are looking for a driven, semi-qualified accountant to join our team in a senior individual contributor capacity, someone who can independently own client accounting and closure, and mentor junior team members.ROLE OVERVIEWAs a Senior Accountant at Bloomtree, you will independently manage end to end accounting and book closure for a portfolio of clients. You will work closely with accounts assistants, coordinate with client SPOCs, and support statutory audit and due diligence assignments as they arise.This is a senior individual contributor role that demands ownership of client deliverables, strong technical grounding, and the ability to review and guide junior team members.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTeam CoordinationSupervise and coordinate daily work with accounts assistants and junior team membersDelegate tasks effectively and ensure quality output across bookkeeping and closure workMentor junior accountants through practical guidance and reviewConduct regular check-ins to monitor progress and resolve blockersCompliance ManagementEnsure all statutory and regulatory compliances are tracked and completed on time for assigned clientsMaintain a compliance calendar covering GST, TDS,



and other applicable filingsFlag risks proactively and implement corrective actions before deadlinesStay updated with amendments in tax laws and regulatory requirementsWork Allocation & PlanningPlan and prioritise workload across assigned clients to meet closure and filing timelinesIdentify bottlenecks in bookkeeping and closure work and resolve them proactivelyEscalate capacity or scope issues to seniors in advanceClient CoordinationServe as the primary point of contact for assigned clients on accounting and compliance mattersCommunicate clearly and professionally on deliverables and timelinesBuild strong client relationships through consistent follow-ups and proactive updatesUnderstand client requirements and translate them into accounting and closure tasksMIS & ReportingPrepare and deliver timely MIS reports and financial statements for client and management reviewEnsure accuracy, clarity, and relevance of all financial reports and summariesSupport seniors with data analysis and insights for client decision-makingReporting to ManagementProvide regular updates to the reporting manager on client status, risks, and escalationsMaintain clear documentation and communication trails for all assigned engagementsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORCA Inter, CMA Inter, or equivalent semi-qualified professional5 to 8 years of relevant experience, ideally in a CA firm or accounting outsourcing environmentStrong hands-on knowledge of Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooksHands-on experience independently closing books on a monthly and annual basis, without heavy supervisionSolid grasp of GST, TDS, and basic income tax complianceAdvanced MS Excel skillsExperience handling multiple clients simultaneouslyExposure to cross border or multi-entity accounting is a plusStrong sense of ownership and accountabilityCOMPENSATION & BENEFITSCTC: INR 8,00,000 to 10,00,000 per annum, based on experience and interview performanceProvident Fund and other statutory benefits as per applicable Indian labour lawHealth insurance coveragePaid leave as per company policySupport for continuing skilled education, including CA Inter/CMA Inter related certification costsExposure to cross border client engagements across India, the US and SingaporeA clear path toward larger engagement and people management responsibility over timeHOW TO APPLYSend your CV and a short note about yourself to [email protected] with the subject line "Senior Accountant Application".
