Plant Head – Manufacturing Operations

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Plant Head to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations with responsibility for safety, quality, productivity, cost efficiency, plant performance and people management. The role will oversee production, maintenance, quality, logistics and other plant functions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead overall plant operations covering Production, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, Stores, HR and EHS.
- Drive production targets through optimum utilization of manpower, machinery and materials.
- Monitor key manufacturing KPIs including OEE, yield, downtime, wastage and rework.
- Manage production planning and ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
- Lead cross-functional teams and drive a high-performance culture.
- Ensure quality systems and compliance with ISO, BIS, ASTM and applicable standards.
- Drive preventive/predictive maintenance and maximize plant uptime.
- Lead cost reduction, lean manufacturing, energy saving and waste reduction initiatives.
- Ensure EHS,



statutory and industrial-relations compliance.
- Lead CapEx, greenfield/brownfield and continuous-improvement projects.
- Drive manufacturing excellence through Kaizen, 5S, TPM and Six Sigma.

Candidate Profile

- 20–25 years of experience in Manufacturing / Plant Operations.
- Minimum 10 years in a plant/manufacturing leadership role.
- Strong preference for candidates from Glass Processing, Architectural Glass, Façade, Automotive Glass or Auto Ancillary manufacturing.
- Experience handling Greenfield/Brownfield plants would be an advantage.
- Robust knowledge of production systems, SAP/ERP, ISO and Lean Manufacturing.
- Engineering qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical, Electrical, Production or related discipline.
- Strong people leadership, decision-making, crisis management and execution capabilities.

Key Performance Indicators

Production volume & yield, OTIF delivery, manufacturing cost, machine uptime, breakdown hours, customer complaints, employee productivity and retention.
