Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Systems & Network Engineer to support the day-to-day IT infrastructure requirements of the office.

The candidate will be responsible for checking and troubleshooting basic system, hardware and network-related issues, managing IT assets, and coordinating with the DevOps team, IT repair/service personnel and external vendors whenever required.

This is a hands-on junior-level role suitable for someone who has basic knowledge of computer systems and networking and is willing to learn and take ownership of day-to-day IT requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Systems & Hardware

- Check and troubleshoot basic desktop, laptop, printer and other hardware-related issues.
- Identify system and hardware problems and coordinate with the concerned IT repair/service person for resolution.
- Assist employees with basic system-related issues.
- Coordinate installation, replacement, repair and maintenance of IT equipment.
- Ensure systems and peripherals are functioning properly.

Network & Internet

- Monitor day-to-day office internet and network connectivity.
- Check and troubleshoot basic LAN/Wi-Fi/network-related issues.
- Identify network problems and coordinate with the internet/network service provider when required.
- Coordinate with the DevOps team for technical/network-related issues that require further support.
- Ensure network-related complaints are followed up until resolution.

IT Asset Management





- Maintain and regularly update the company's IT asset records.
- Track laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, networking equipment and other IT assets.
- Maintain records of asset allocation, transfers, repairs, replacements and returns.
- Ensure proper tagging and documentation of IT assets.
- Coordinate for repair/replacement of damaged or faulty equipment.

Coordination & Support

- Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day system, hardware and network-related issues at the office.
- Coordinate with the internal DevOps team for infrastructure/network-related issues.
- Coordinate with the designated IT repair/service person for hardware repairs.
- Coordinate with external vendors, internet service providers and AMC/service providers as required.
- Maintain a record of IT issues, actions taken and their resolution status.

Routine IT Checks

- Conduct regular checks of office systems, network connectivity and IT equipment.
- Report any recurring or potential IT issues to the concerned team.
- Ensure timely follow-up on pending repairs and technical issues.
- Assist the senior/DevOps team with basic IT infrastructure requirements whenever required.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of networking, LAN, Wi-Fi and internet connectivity
- Basic knowledge of IP addresses, routers, switches and network troubleshooting




- Good understanding of Windows, Linux systems/servers and common desktop applications used in organization's. Basic knowledge of IT asset management.
- Azure cloud knowledge or certification is an advantage
- Hardware firewall knowledge must required.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Valuable communication and coordination skills
- Ability to independently handle routine office IT issues and escalate complex issues appropriately

Qualification

- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Networking or a related field
- Freshers with relevant technical knowledge can also be considered.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should be a hands-on, responsible and technically inclined person who can take care of the company's day-to-day systems, hardware and network requirements.

The candidate is not expected to independently manage advanced servers or complex infrastructure. They will primarily identify and handle basic issues and coordinate with the DevOps team, IT repair person and external vendors for technical issues requiring specialized support.

Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per year
