Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Heat Treatment Engineer with 3–8 years of hands-on experience in the Automobile/Automotive Components sector. The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of hardcore furnace operations, heat treatment processes, and manpower handling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day heat treatment and hardcore furnace operations.
- Monitor and control furnace temperature, cycle time, loading/unloading and process parameters.
- Ensure heat treatment processes are carried out as per defined specifications and quality standards.
- Manage and supervise operators and shop-floor manpower.
- Plan and allocate manpower as per production and shift requirements.
- Monitor production targets, process efficiency and rejection/rework.
- Troubleshoot furnace and heat treatment process-related issues.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality and Maintenance departments.
- Maintain furnace, production and process-related records.
- Ensure compliance with safety,
quality and process standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and productivity enhancement.
- Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions for process-related issues.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3–8 years of relevant experience in Heat Treatment/Furnace Operations.
- Mandatory experience in the Automobile / Automotive Components industry.
- Strong hands-on experience with hardcore industrial furnaces.
- Positive understanding of heat treatment processes and parameters.
- Proven experience in manpower/team handling.
- Ability to manage shop-floor operations and shift activities.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of quality and safety requirements in automotive manufacturing.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
Candidates currently working in automotive component manufacturing companies with strong experience in furnace operations, heat treatment processes, production handling and manpower management will be preferred.
