Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Private Chef to manage the daily cooking requirements of a prestigious private household of seven members, including the client, parents, and children.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Jain meal along with the ability to prepare a variety of healthy and authentic international cuisines while strictly adhering to Jain dietary principles.

This is a live-out position based at the client's residence in Nepeansea Road, Mumbai. The role is focused on food preparation and kitchen management; food service will be handled by other household staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare fresh, healthy, and nutritious Jain meals for the entire household.
- Strictly follow Jain dietary requirements, including exclusion of onion, garlic, root vegetables, and other restricted ingredients.
- Prepare a variety of cuisines such as Continental, Asian, Mediterranean, and other international cuisines, adapting recipes appropriately to Jain requirements.
- Plan weekly menus in consultation with the household, ensuring variety, freshness, nutrition, and balanced meals.
- Manage grocery and ingredient requirements and procure high-quality, Jain-appropriate ingredients.
- Maintain excellent kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
- Ensure meals are prepared fresh and ready on time according to the family's daily schedule.




- Coordinate with household staff regarding kitchen requirements and meal timings.
- Maintain proper organization and cleanliness of the kitchen and cooking equipment.
- Maintain complete confidentiality and discretion regarding the household and its personal matters.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience in Jain meal.
- Strong multi-cuisine cooking skills with the ability to prepare international cuisines.
- Thorough understanding of Jain dietary restrictions and appropriate ingredient substitutions.
- Knowledge of healthy, clean, and nutritious cooking methods.
- Ability to plan diverse and balanced menus for adults and children.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene, kitchen safety, and proper food storage.
- Well-organized, punctual, disciplined, and consistent with meal timings.
- Ability to work independently and manage the kitchen efficiently.
- Professional attitude with high standards of hygiene and presentation.

Qualifications & Experience

- Previous experience as a Private Chef / Household Chef / Personal Chef is preferred.
- Experience cooking Jain food in a private household, luxury residence, hotel, or premium hospitality setting.
- Culinary Arts certification/diploma is preferred but not mandatory if the candidate has strong relevant experience.
- Candidates with experience serving high-profile or HNI households will be preferred.

Working Conditions
