Job DescriptionPosition: Designer NLocation: Kolkata NEmployment Type: Full time NJob SummarynWe are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and experienced Designer to drive the design and development of ethnic wear collections. The role involves leading the design team, conceptualizing seasonal collections, sourcing fabrics and trims, coordinating photoshoots, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of products aligned with brand objectives. NKey ResponsibilitiesnDesign & Development Nn Conceptualize anddevelop seasonal ethnicwear collections across multiple categories. N Create mood boards, trend forecasts, color palettes, and surface ornamentation concepts. N Develop design specifications and oversee the execution of samples and prototypes. N Execute pattern making,draping, and garment construction techniques during the sampling stage. N Coordinate closely withsampling units, artisans, and vendors to ensure timely completion of prototypes and samples. N Ensure designs align with brand identity, market trends, and customer preferences. NnFabric & Trims Sourcing Nn Research, identify, and source suitable fabrics, embellishments, trims, and accessories as per collection requirements. N Collaborate with procurement and vendor partners to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely availability of materials. N Stay updated on market trends, fabric innovations, and sourcing opportunities. N Travel within and outside Kolkata as required for sourcing and vendor development activities. NnPhotoshoot Coordination Nn Collaborate with stylists, photographers, models,



and the marketing team to execute brand-aligned photoshoots. N Prepare shoot dockets, styling guidelines, and collection briefs. N Ensure garments, accessories, and samples are shoot-ready and available as per schedule. N Participate in creativedirection discussions to maintain brand consistency across visual assets. NnCross-functional Coordination Nn Work closely withProduction, Merchandising, Procurement, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless product development and launch. N Facilitate smooth handovers from design to production. N Support departmental initiatives and undertake ad hoc projects as required. N Ensure effective communication and coordination across all stakeholders. NnQualifications & Experience Nn Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, draping, fabrics, embellishments, and textiles. N 3+ years of design experience in men's ethnic wear N A background with leading ethnic wear brands or couture fashion houses N B.Des. in Fashion Design from NIFT (preferred) N Strong digital sketching skills — Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, or similar tools N An eye for detail, craftsmanship, and an understanding of Indian occasion-wear trends. N Strong vendor management, sourcing, and project coordination skills.
