- Diagnose and manage diseases of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, liver, pancreas and biliary system.
- Manage OPD/IPD patients with conditions such as GERD, IBS, IBD, hepatitis, cirrhosis, pancreatitis, GI bleeding and liver diseases.
- Perform and interpret Upper GI Endoscopy (EGD) and Colonoscopy.
- Perform therapeutic procedures such as polypectomy, biopsy, hemostasis and foreign-body removal, depending on expertise and hospital facilities.
- Manage GI emergencies, including acute GI bleeding and severe pancreatitis.
- Evaluate and manage patients with chronic liver disease and cirrhosis.
- Coordinate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists and other specialists when required.
- Provide patient counselling regarding treatment, diet and lifestyle.
- Maintain proper clinical documentation and follow hospital protocols.
