The Senior Manager is the Risk Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks within the organisation. This role involves providing expert advice and guidance on risk-related issues, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the development and implementation of risk management strategies.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of risk management and controls strategies for assigned business streams, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s overall risk framework.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing expert guidance on risk and controls matters.
Risk Assessment and Controls Design
- Conduct thorough risk assessments across multiple business streams to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Design, implement, and monitor effective controls to mitigate identified risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Workstream Management
- Lead and manage all activities within the assigned workstream, ensuring alignment with overall program or project objectives.
- Develop detailed workstream plans, including timelines, resources, and milestones.
- Monitor progress and adjust plans as necessary to stay on track.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for risk and controls issues within assigned streams, engaging with key stakeholders across the organisation.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to integrate risk and control measures into business processes.
Project Management
- Lead risk and controls projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organisational objectives.
- Coordinate with other project teams to ensure that risk management considerations are incorporated into relevant projects.
Training & Awareness
- Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness of risk management prac
