We are looking for an experienced QA cum Business Analyst with solid Shipping and Logistics domain knowledge to support the analysis, testing, and implementation of a Shipping Class Registration Process Application. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, surveyors, vessel owners, classification societies, development teams, and project managers to gather requirements, prepare functional specifications, validate business processes, and ensure quality delivery of the application.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze requirements from business stakeholders.
- Understand and document As-Is and To-Be shipping/classification processes.
- Documentation:
- Prepare BRD (Business Requirement Document).
- Prepare FRD (Functional Requirement Document).
- Create User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
- Maintain Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM).
- Conduct requirement walkthroughs and stakeholder discussions.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
- Application Functional Areas Understanding- Should be able to analyze business requirements related to:
- Prepare Test Strategy and Test Plan.
- Create Test Scenarios and Test Cases.
- Execute Manual Functional Testing.
- Validate business workflows against requirements.
Integration Testing
- Verify integrations with:
- ERP Systems
- Port Authority Systems
- Document Management Systems
- Payment Gateways
- Regulatory Platforms
API Testing
- Validate REST APIs using Postman.
- Verify request-response mappings and business validations.
UAT Support
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing.
- Prepare UAT documents.
- Support business users during testing.
Defect Management
- Log defects in Jira/Azure DevOps.
- Perform defect triage.
- Track defect closure and retesting.
Compliance Validation
- Verify maritime compliance rules.
- Validate certificate generation and expiry workflows.
- Ensure audit trail requirements are met.
Shipping Domain Knowledge Required
Candidate should possess knowledge of:

- Graduate in Engineering, Computer Science, Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, or related discipline.
- Certification in CBAP, CCBA, IIBA, ISTQB preferred.
- Experience working with Classification Societies such as DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, IRS, or similar is highly desirable.
