About the Centre

We are establishing a specialised Child Learning & Development Centre focused on supporting children who experience difficulties related to learning, attention, communication, language, development and classroom functioning.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Speech & Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team on a part-time / visiting consultant basis.

The therapist will work with children who may have speech, language, communication or related developmental difficulties and will coordinate with parents, educators and other specialists to support the child's overall development.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct speech, language and communication assessments for children based on their individual needs.
- Identify speech, language, articulation, fluency, voice and communication difficulties.
- Develop individualised therapy goals and intervention plans.
- Provide one-to-one speech and language therapy sessions.
- Work with children experiencing:
- Speech delays
- Language delays
- Articulation difficulties
- Communication difficulties
- Developmental delays
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- ADHD and attention-related difficulties
- Learning difficulties
- Social communication difficulties
- Difficulties with receptive or expressive language
- Help children improve vocabulary, comprehension, sentence formation and functional communication.
- Work on age-appropriate communication and social interaction skills where required.
- Provide parents with practical strategies and activities that can be continued at home.




- Coordinate with the Special Educator, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Learning Support Teachers and other professionals.
- Provide appropriate recommendations to teachers regarding communication and classroom support.
- Maintain therapy records and document the child's progress.
- Periodically review therapy goals and modify intervention plans based on the child's progress.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions where required.

Preferred Experience Experience working with children with one or more of the following will be highly preferred:
- Speech and language delay
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- ADHD
- Developmental delay
- Learning disabilities
- Articulation and phonological disorders
- Receptive and expressive language difficulties
- Social communication difficulties
- Childhood fluency/stuttering
- Early childhood communication difficulties
- School-readiness difficulties

Experience in a school, paediatric clinic, special-education centre, child development centre or multidisciplinary setting will be an advantage.

Qualification

Essential:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology / Speech & Hearing / Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology or an equivalent recognised qualification.




- Appropriate qualified registration with the applicable regulatory/professional authority, wherever required.
- Experience working with children.

Preferred:

- Master's qualification in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Paediatric speech and language therapy experience.
- Additional training in developmental disorders, autism, early intervention or related areas.
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary child-development team.

Engagement This is initially a Part-Time / Visiting Consultant position.

The therapist may conduct sessions at our centre based on the number of children requiring speech and language therapy.

Candidates who already have a private practice, clinic or other professional commitments are welcome to apply.

Location: Pathankot, Punjab

Candidates from Pathankot and nearby areas are preferred. Candidates from other locations may also be considered for suitable hybrid/online consultation arrangements, where the nature of the child's requirement permits remote intervention.

Pay: ₹9,161.91 - ₹19,987.00 per month
