Job Summary:

The Automobile Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service department. This includes managing service advisors, technicians, and other personnel to ensure high-quality service, customer satisfaction, and efficient workflow. The role focuses on meeting revenue targets, maintaining service standards, and upholding manufacturer and dealership policies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and supervise the service department operations, including service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
- Monitor and improve customer satisfaction (CSI) scores.
- Ensure timely completion of repairs and services with high-quality standards.
- Handle escalated customer concerns and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain and control expenses within the department.
- Develop and implement service marketing strategies to generate business.
- Monitor service KPIs such as productivity, efficiency, and profitability.




- Ensure adherence to all company and manufacturer policies and procedures.
- Coordinate training and development for service team members.
- Conduct regular departmental meetings and performance reviews.
- Work closely with the parts and sales departments for smooth coordination.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 58 years of experience in a service department, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
- Solid leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Good technical knowledge of vehicles and diagnostic tools.
- Proficiency in DMS (Dealer Management Systems) and MS Office.
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification from an automotive manufacturer (e.g., Toyota, Maruti, Hyundai, etc.)
- Experience with warranty claims processing and workshop loading systems
- Knowledge of local automotive regulations and compliance standards
