Civil Engineer - Quantity Surveying, BOQ & Cost Control
Role & responsibilities
Quantity Take-Off & BOQ Preparation
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications
- Develop detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) aligned with project scope for tendering and execution
- Possess solid knowledge of construction materials and labour management
Cost & Time Management
- Prepare and verify estimates and BOQs
- Support cost optimization and value engineering
- Knowledge of Schedule of Rates (SOR) for cost evaluation
Design Integration
- Collaborate with architects during concept and design stages
- Ensure constructability and cost efficiency
Consultant & Drawing Coordination
- Coordinate with structural and MEP consultants
- Review and integrate architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Ensure clash-free and coordinated design for accurate execution
Execution & Site Coordination
- Translate design drawings into site-executable details
- Conduct site visits and monitor construction quality
- Resolve on-site technical issues
Material & Construction Oversight
- Recommend appropriate materials and construction techniques
- Review vendor submissions
- Ensure compliance with IS codes and safety standards
Preferred candidate profile
Candidates with experience in an Architecture / Design Consultancy firm or Real Estate Developer company will be preferred. Candidates should have hands-on experience in Quantity Surveying, BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, cost estimation, rate analysis, billing and cost control, preferably for high-rise, multi-dwelling or large-scale construction projects.
