Responsibilities and Impact:
Role and responsibilities of an Associate - Record to Report
The Associate is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely closure of general ledger encompassing several duties, including but not limited to:
- Month-End Close: Responsible for preparing and posting the recurring and ad hoc month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, reclassifications, and provisions, ensuring adherence to the month-end closing calendar.
- Reporting: Assisting the manager in creating and maintaining the reports in SAP to support the management reporting.
- Internal Controls:



Executing month-end processes in compliance with local policies and the internal financial control process at OSTTRA.
- Reconciliation & Substantiation: Supporting sub-ledger to general ledger reconciliation and preparing substantiation files for month-end journals and balance sheet accounts related to operating costs to ensure accuracy.
- Audit Support: Supporting internal and external audit requirements by gathering, organizing, and providing transparent documentation.
- Process Improvement: Proactively identifying opportunities to enhance and streamline accounting processes, leveraging automation and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Initiatives / Projects: Assisting manager by supplying the underlying dataset to support the initiatives or projects related to system changes / business drivers.
