Position: Community Educator & Mobilizer

Eligibility & Requirements

Minimum Qualification: Graduation ; with a background in Social Work will be preferred.

Candidates from both Bengali and Hindi medium backgrounds can apply.

Basic computer knowledge is required.

Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to work in community centres, schools and other field-based locations.

Candidates should be comfortable with regular field visits and community interaction.

Job Responsibilities & Work Schedule The Community Educator & Mobilizer will be responsible for conducting educational and community-based activities under the Urban Education Programme (UEP), Kolkata.

The Educator will primarily work with children aged 3–8 years, focusing on Early Childhood Education (ECE), foundational learning and overall child development.

The role will involve conducting age-appropriate, joyful, play-based and activity-based ECE and learning activities with children.

The Educator will also support children's holistic development, school readiness, foundational literacy and numeracy, and transition from early childhood education to primary education.

The role will involve regular interaction with parents, community members, teachers and other stakeholders to support children's learning and development.





The Educator will generally be required to cover 2 field locations every working day.

The daily field combination may include:

1 Community Centre + 1 School, or 2 Schools, or 2 Community Centres, depending on the assigned schedule and programme requirements.

The general duty start time will be 7:30 AM.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8 hours per day

Saturday: 4 hours

Every Friday, after completing the assigned fieldwork, the Community Educator & Mobilizer will be required to report to the Main Office for meetings, planning, reporting, documentation, review and other programme-related work.

Salary & Travel Allowance

Monthly Salary: ₹11,500/- + TA (on actual)

TA (Travel Allowance): Travel allowance will be provided for travel from the first field centre to the second field centre during the working day, as per organisational norms.

Employment Terms The position will be offered on a contractual basis for one year or for the duration of the project period, whichever is applicable, subject to programme requirements and organisational policies.
