Role & responsibilities
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Back Office Executive to join our operations team. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day back-office activities including pay-in/pay-out processing, executing Beginning-of-Day (BOD) and End-of-Day (EOD) operations, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is critical in maintaining the smooth functioning of our broking and trading operations.
Responsibilities:
- Daily trade and process monitoring, as well as PNL reporting; ad-hoc exception handling and query management.
- Execute BOD and EOD processes for all segments (Equity, F&O;, Commodity).
- Daily reconciliation of position, trades, cash, fees and P&L; handling including third party vendor products.
- Supporting clearing and settlement processes across multiple asset classes: Equity,Fixed Income, Derivatives and Commodities.
- Investigation of breaks raised by trading desks, other departments, and counterparties.
- Ensure system rollovers and settlement readiness before trading begins.
- Maintain accurate records of fund movement and reconcile with ledger balances.
- Support settlements (T+1/T+2) by coordinating with custodians, clearing members, and internal teams.
- Prepare audit trail and maintain data for SEBI and exchange compliance.
- Participating in local & global operations, audit, and valuation projects.
Qualifications:
- Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Commerce,
Finance, or related field.
- Familiarity with exchange rules (NSE, BSE), SEBI regulations, and depository operations (CDSL/NSDL).
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of capital market operations.
- Proficient in MS Excel, back-office software, and reporting tools.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Positive written and verbal communication skills.
- Back-office software experience would be preferred. E.g. Tech Excel, Korp Soft
Preferred:
- Experience with BOD/EOD operations and fund transfer protocols.
- Exposure to high-frequency trade environments and reconciliation processes.
- 1+ years of relevant experience in a stock broking or financial services firm.
