We are seeking a Data Engineer with hands-on experience in Snowflake and Microsoft Azure to support the development and maintenance of cloud-based data platforms. The role focuses on building reliable data pipelines, working with large datasets, and enabling analytics and reporting use cases.

- Snowflake Data Lake Management
- Maintain and optimize existing Snowflake data lake architecture.
- Implement data governance, security, and access control policies.
- Ensure scalable storage and compute performance.
- Monitor and manage data ingestion pipelines.

- Azure Data Factory ETL Development

- Design and develop robust ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
- Integrate data from multiple sources (on-prem, cloud, third-party).




- Implement data transformation logic and error handling.
- Schedule and orchestrate data workflows for timely delivery.

- Data Quality & Validation

- Define and implement data validation rules.
- Monitor data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Provide automated alerts for data anomalies.

- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Snowflake and Azure cloud services
- Assist in building and optimizing ETL/ELT processes for structured and semi-structured data
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data transformation and reporting
- Use Python for data processing, automation, and pipeline development
- Work with NoSQL databases and integrate data from multiple sources
- Support data modeling and data warehouse design activities
- Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data quality or performance issues
- Collaborate with senior data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements
- Follow best practices for data security, governance, and documentation

Skills

- 35 years of experience as a Data Engineer or related role
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse, Databricks)
- Solid SQL skills
- Working knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cosmos DB)
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks
- Exposure to Big Data tools such as Spark or Hadoop
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud data architectures
- Experience with version control tools like Git
