Role & responsibilities

- Prepare GA drawings for 110/115/132/220/380 kV HV/EHV substations.
- Develop SLDs for GIS substations.
- Prepare electrical section, elevation and equipment layout drawings.
- Prepare busbar, grounding/earthing and lightning protection layouts.
- Develop cable trench, cable routing, duct bank and cable schedule drawings.
- Prepare illumination and small power layouts.
- Coordinate with Electrical, Protection, Civil and Structural teams.
- Revise drawings based on engineering and client comments.
- Maintain drawing registers and document control records.
- Prepare As-Built drawings and BOQs.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, Saudi Energy and SEC requirements.

Preferred candidate profile





- Diploma in Electrical Engineering is mandatory; B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- 35 years of experience as an Electrical Designer/Draughtsman.
- Proven experience in HV/EHV substation projects from 110 kV to 380 kV.
- Solid knowledge of AIS and GIS substation layouts.
- Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation is essential.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical is preferred.
- Experience in cable routing, grounding, equipment layout and substation drafting.
- Knowledge of SEC, Saudi Energy, IEC and IEEE standards is preferred.
- Experience in EPC substation projects and Saudi utility projects is an added advantage.
