Role & responsibilities
- Design, develop, and customize Polarion solutions, including workflows, forms, reports, dashboards, and automation.
- Build Polarion extensions, plugins, widgets, and live reports using Java, JavaScript, APIs, and Apache Velocity.
- Configure and administer Polarion artifacts such as Work Items, Documents, Plans, Test Runs, Permissions, and Traceability.
- Integrate Polarion with enterprise applications, preferably Siemens Teamcenter/PLM, and support upgrades, defect fixes, and performance improvements.
- Translate business requirements into scalable solutions, contribute to testing and releases, and provide technical guidance and development standards.
- Establish development best practices and provide technical guidance that strengthens solution quality and long-term sustainability
Preferred candidate profile
- 4 to 8 years of experience in Polarion ALM development, customization, configuration, and support.
- Strong hands-on experience with Polarion Workflows, Work Items, Live Reports, dashboards, Forms, APIs, and extensions.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java, JavaScript, REST APIs, Apache Velocity, SQL, Polarion Open Java API, and Rendering API, including plugin and extension development.
- Experience integrating Polarion with PLM/Teamcenter or other enterprise engineering systems.
- Experience in solution design, technical analysis, and translating business requirements into robust ALM solutions.
- Exposure to AI solutions and their application to enhance solution capabilities and operational efficiency would be an advantage.
- Robust communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
