Responsibilities

- Lead Key project in Swithoboard circuit breaker
- Coach Project Test Leaders (PTLs): Provide guidance and support to PTLs in constructing a robust VV (Verification and Validation) test plan. This includes considering technical specifications, FFR (Functional and Factory Requirements), VOC (Voice of Customer), wiring rules, and earthing systems.
- Guide and Train PTLs and Test Engineers: Offer technical expertise and training to PTLs and test engineers. Help them conduct functional and performance tests to verify proper operation of products and compliance with industry standards.
- Analyze Test Results and Provide Reports: Analyze the results of tests conducted and prepare detailed reports on findings. This helps in identifying any issues or areas for improvement.
- Troubleshoot and Diagnose Failures: During testing, troubleshoot and diagnose failures that may occur with the products. This is important for identifying and resolving any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with Design and Engineering Teams: Work closely with design and engineering teams to ensure the development of efficient and reliable products. This collaboration helps in aligning testing requirements with product development.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Keep yourself updated with industry trends, advancements, and standards related to circuit breaker and switchboard testing. This knowledge is crucial for maintaining a high level of expertise in your field.
- Pitch Webinars and Trainings: Collaborate with the marketing team to pitch webinars and training sessions for both internal teams and customers. This helps in sharing knowledge and promoting the expertise of your lab.
- Adherence to Safety Protocols:



Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations during testing activities. Safety is of utmost importance in a lab environment.
- Maintain Technical Competency and Quality Standards: Maintain the technical competency of the test laboratory by following National and international accreditation Quality Management System procedures (such as NABL 17025). This ensures high-quality testing and compliance with standards.
- Provide Mentorship: Offer mentorship to build expertise in short circuit breaking. This helps in developing the skills and knowledge of your team members.
- Build Network with Labs: Establish a solid network and collaborate with other labs such as UL, CPRI, and ERDA. This helps in sharing knowledge, best practices, and staying updated with industry developments.
- Define Strategy and Roadmap: Work with the lab manager to define the strategy and roadmap for the lab in alignment with Schneider Electrics mission and vision.
- Participate in Technical Presentations: Represent Schneider Electric and participate in various technical presentations at different platforms. This helps in showcasing the expertise of your lab and promoting the company.
- Track Standards Development and Gap Analysis:



Keep track of developments in standards and analyze any gaps in competency and infrastructure. This helps in identifying areas for improvement and staying ahead in the industry.
- Support Lab Automation Projects: Support the team in implementing lab automation projects. Automation can improve efficiency and accuracy in testing processes.

Requirements

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Have rich experience in testing and inspection of circuit breakers and switchboards.
- Thorough Understanding of IEC61439 -1, IEC 61439-2, IEC 61439-3, IEC 61439-6, IEC60947-1, EC60947-2, IEC60947-3, IEC60947-4, IEC60898, IEC61009 , IEC61008
- Thorough with National Electrical code , earthing systems, and wiring rules.
- Proven experience in circuit breaker and switchboard testing, preferably in a manufacturing or testing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, circuit breakers, and switchboards.
- Strong project management skills
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC, ANSI, and UL.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in using testing equipment and tools.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and think out of the box.
- High-level technical writing skills.
