Job Description – Site Accounts Officer

Job Summary

Responsible for managing day-to-day accounting and financial activities at the project site, including site expenses, vendor bills, payments, cash management, documentation, and coordination with the corporate accounts team.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain day-to-day site accounts and financial records.
- Verify and process vendor/subcontractor bills and supporting documents.
- Maintain petty cash and site expense records.
- Prepare payment vouchers, expense statements, and reimbursement claims.
- Coordinate with the project team for verification of bills, work completion, and supporting documents.
- Track vendor and subcontractor payments and outstanding balances.
- Assist in preparation and verification of RA bills, work bills, and material bills.
- Maintain records of purchase invoices, receipts, advances, and expenses.
- Ensure proper documentation and accounting of site purchases and expenses.
- Assist with GST, TDS,



and other statutory compliance related to site transactions.
- Reconcile vendor accounts, advances, and site expenses.
- Prepare periodic MIS and expense reports for management.
- Coordinate with the corporate Accounts & Finance team for monthly closing and reporting.
- Maintain proper filing of financial and project-related documents.
- Support internal and statutory audits as required.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction/infrastructure industry.
- Positive knowledge of GST, TDS, vendor accounting, billing, and reconciliations.
- Experience with MS Excel and accounting software/ERP.
- Knowledge of construction project/site accounting will be an advantage.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently at a project site.
