Electricians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, circuits, and equipment in homes, businesses, and factories.
They read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan and execute electrical installations accurately.
Their duties include inspecting electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, and lighting systems, troubleshooting faults, performing preventive maintenance, and testing systems using diagnostic tools like multimeters and voltage testers.
Electricians may also supervise junior staff and coordinate with other tradespeople to integrate electrical work with construction projects.
