Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Hyderabad office, with travel to project sites in Telangana & Andhra Pradesh

Mandatory Requirements:

- Prior experience working with a civil construction
- Hands-on experience in bill preparation (RA bills, sub-contractor billing, client billing)

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and rate analysis for tendered and non-tendered items
- Preparation and certification of RA bills, final bills, and client billing documentation
- Checking, certifying, and processing sub-contractor and sub-agency bills
- Material reconciliation across cement, steel, and other bulk materials
- Preparation of Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and shuttering/formwork quantity calculations
- Measurement and cross-verification of site quantities against approved BOQ and drawings
- Preparation of rate comparison statements and rate negotiations with vendors/sub-contractors
- Tracking project budgets and preparing monthly work-done and billing reports
- Preparing daily progress reports and maintaining drawing registers
- Submitting and negotiating contract variations, extra items, and additional works claims
- Coordinating with site engineers, project managers,



and accounts for timely bill certification

Additional Responsibilities :

- Reviewing and approving billing prepared by junior Quantity Surveyors/ Engineers across sites
- Leading rate negotiation and finalisation with vendors, sub-contractors, and clients
- Mentoring junior QS staff/site engineers and standardising billing/BOQ formats across projects
- Liaising directly with client-side EE/AE and audit teams on billing and measurement queries

Skills & Qualifications:

- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven, verifiable experience with a civil construction company
- Robust working knowledge of bill preparation, BOQ, and rate analysis
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD for measurement and drawing cross-checks
- Proficiency in MS Excel and standard billing/estimation software
- Familiarity with government contract billing formats (CPWD/Railways/state PWD) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to site timelines
