Position Overview

We are looking for a Field Reporter who is passionate about journalism and can report stories directly from the ground. The ideal candidate should be comfortable covering breaking news, conducting interviews, creating mobile-first video content, and delivering accurate reports under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

- Cover breaking news and live events from the field.
- Report on politics, civic issues, crime, business, education, entertainment, lifestyle, and local events.
- Conduct on-ground interviews with officials, eyewitnesses, experts, and the public.
- Record Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, PTCs (Piece to Camera), and live updates using a smartphone or camera.
- Gather verified facts, visuals, and quotes for news stories.
- Coordinate with the newsroom and editorial team for story updates.
- Provide live reporting during major incidents, press conferences, protests, and public events.
- File stories, scripts,



and raw footage within newsroom deadlines.
- Maintain journalistic ethics, accuracy, and impartiality while reporting.

Journalism Skills

- Strong news judgment and storytelling ability.

Technical Skills

- Smartphone journalism (MoJo).
- Basic video recording and framing.
- Transparent on-camera presentation (PTC).
- Basic knowledge of live streaming on social media.
- Ability to send photos, videos, and updates quickly from the field.

Communication

- Fluent in Hindi (Mandatory).
- Good command of English.
- Marathi is an added advantage for Mumbai reporting.
- Ability to identify and pitch exclusive stories.
- Excellent interviewing and questioning skills.
- Fact verification and source development.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
