Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Steel Modeler & Detailer with hands-on expertise in Tekla Structures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate 3D models, shop drawings, and erection plans for steel fabrication and installation, while ensuring compliance with international standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Model structural steel components including beams, columns, base plates, connections, and weld details using Tekla Structures
- Customize Tekla templates and settings to suit project-specific requirements
- Interpret engineering design drawings and convert them into accurate 3D models
- Review and cross-check models
- Check detailers’ drawings for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to company standards
- Create shop drawings for fabrication and erection drawings for field assembly
- Incorporate design changes, approval comments, and revisions into project scope
- Prepare and submit material lists, bolt lists, and other fabrication documentation




- Ensure modeling and detailing align with Australian standards
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to resolve technical issues

Required Skills & Tools

- Proficiency in Tekla Structures (mandatory)
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Familiarity with fabrication and erection sequences, connection detailing, and welding practices
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Experience with international codes and standards (US & Australian)

Benefits & Work Culture

Compensation will be based on your experience and skill level. You'll receive 14 annual leaves, plus 2 paid leaves each month.
