This role sits at the centre of how Arbour engages, retains, and grows its channel partner ecosystem.

Direct Investor Segments
The incumbent will build and manage direct investment relationships across the following investor segments:
HNIs (High Net Worth Individuals) UHNIs (Ultra High Net Worth Individuals)
Single Family Offices Multi-Family Offices
Corporate & Institutional Investors Sophisticated & Accredited Investors
First-time Arbour investors Re-investing & referred direct investors
Key Responsibilities
A. Direct Investor Acquisition & Prospecting
• Build and continuously grow a curated pipeline of HNI, UHNI, and Family Office prospects through
personal network activation, targeted introductions, strategic referrals, and proactive market outreach.
• Identify, research, and qualify prospective direct investors based on investment appetite, risk profile,
liquidity, and alignment with Arbour's structured credit investment strategy.
• Develop and execute a structured direct investor acquisition strategy with clear segmentation by investor
type (HNI, UHNI, Single Family Office, Multi-Family Office, Corporate) and a defined engagement plan for
each.
• Manage the complete direct investor acquisition lifecycle — from initial contact and relationship building
through product presentation, due diligence support, documentation, and capital closure.
• Maintain a well-structured, accurately forecasted direct investor pipeline with regular updates to senior
leadership on prospect status, conversion timelines, and expected AUM closures.
B. HNI & UHNI Direct Investor Engagement
• Engage directly and proactively with HNI and UHNI investors through one-on-one meetings, bespoke
investment presentations, portfolio discussions, and exclusive investor events.
• Build deep, trust-based personal relationships with HNI and UHNI investors by demonstrating consistent
investment knowledge, credibility, and a long-term commitment to their financial interests.
• Conduct tailored investment presentations that clearly and compellingly articulate Arbour's investment
philosophy, structured credit strategy, risk framework, underwriting discipline, and return profile.
• Manage HNI and UHNI investor objections, due diligence queries, and documentation requirements with
accuracy, speed, and a high standard of investor service.
• Identify reinvestment opportunities, incremental capital opportunities, and referral potential within the
existing HNI and UHNI investor base,
working with the Investor Relations team to convert insights into
additional AUM.
C. Family Office Acquisition & Relationship Management
• Identify, engage, and develop relationships with Single and Multi-Family Office principals, investment
committees, and their trusted advisors across Mumbai and key metros.
• Understand the investment mandate, governance structure, risk appetite, liquidity requirements, and
decision-making process of each target Family Office, tailoring Arbour's approach and positioning
accordingly.
• Conduct structured, investment-committee-grade presentations for Family Offices, addressing portfolio
construction, credit risk, collateral framework, and Arbour's track record in depth.
• Build long-term, institutionally credible relationships with Family Office principals — positioning Arbour as
a trusted, recurring alternative investment partner rather than a one-time transaction.
• Coordinate internally to ensure Family Office investor onboarding, reporting, and servicing meets the
elevated expectations of this investor segment.
D. Direct Fund Raising & Capital Mobilisation
• Drive and consistently achieve assigned direct investor AUM and fund raising targets, with explicit
accountability for capital raised from HNI, UHNI, and Family Office investor segments.
• Develop and execute direct investor engagement strategies across in-person meetings, exclusive investor
roundtables, investment seminars, and curated networking events.
• Work closely with the Investment and Investor Relations teams to develop bespoke investment proposals,
due diligence packages, and investor communication materials tailored to the needs of direct investors.
• Coordinate and lead investor site visits, management meetings, and co-investment discussions where
required to support investor decision-making and capital commitment.
• Represent Arbour at exclusive HNI and UHNI investor forums, Family Office summits, private wealth
conferences, and curated networking events to build new direct investor relationships.
E. Investor Communication & Market Intelligence
• Provide structured, proactive communication to prospective and committed direct investors covering
market context, fund performance, investment pipeline updates, and relevant regulatory developments.
• Stay current with alternative investment market trends, real estate credit dynamics, macroeconomic
developments, and competitor activity to engage HNI, UHNI, and Family Office investors as a credible,
informed investment partner.
• Gather structured market intelligence and investor sentiment from HNI, UHNI, and Family Office
interactions and feed insights to the investment and product teams to support fund positioning and
strategy.
• Work closely with the Investor Relations team to ensure a seamless handover of committed investors and
maintain continuity
Channel Partner Ecosystem Channel Partners (CPs) Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs) Mutual Fund Key Responsibilities
A. Channel Partner Acquisition & Onboarding • Identify, evaluate, and onboard CPs, IFAs, MFDs, RIAs, boutique wealth firms, and medium wealth organisations as distribution partners. • Build a structured partner pipeline across Mumbai and key metros with a clear activation plan for each. • Manage the full onboarding process — empanelment, KYC, compliance registration, and product training. • Execute a tiered acquisition strategy prioritising high-AUM IFAs, active MFDs, fee-based RIAs, and structured boutique and medium wealth firms.
B. Channel Fund Raising & AUM Mobilisation • Drive AUM mobilisation through all channel types, consistently achieving fundraising targets. • Manage the full fund raising lifecycle — partner engagement, product presentation, investor conversion, documentation, and closure. • Collaborate with partners to identify investor opportunities, co-create engagement strategies, and support joint presentations. • Maintain a forecasted AUM pipeline by channel type with timely reporting on pipeline health and conversion rates.
C. Boutique & Medium Wealth Firm Engagement • Build commercially productive relationships with boutique and medium wealth firms, positioning Arbour as their preferred alternative investment partner.
• Engage principals and senior RMs to understand client portfolio composition, product shelf requirements, and AUM targets. • Deliver product presentations, portfolio review sessions, and joint client engagement initiatives. • Develop co-marketing and co-branded initiatives to deepen engagement and expand client reach.
D. CP, IFA, MFD & RIA Relationship Management • Own relationships across the active CP, IFA, MFD, and RIA network — ensuring every partner is engaged, informed, and productive. • Conduct regular one-on-ones, group briefings, and business reviews; build a structured partner communication calendar. • Re-activate dormant partners through targeted outreach and incentive programmes. • Monitor partner metrics — activation rate, AUM per partner, mobilisation velocity — and drive productivity improvement.
E. Partner Enablement, Compliance & Reporting • Develop partner-facing content — product decks, factsheets, performance summaries, and market commentary for all channel types. • Organise partner events, roadshows, webinars, and recognition programmes. • Ensure all activities comply with SEBI regulations, AMFI guidelines, and Arbour's compliance framework. • Coordinate commission payouts, trail income statements, and brokerage reports with Finance. Maintain accurate partner records.
