Merchandiser – Job Description

Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Merchandiser to manage product development, sampling, order execution, and coordination between customers, suppliers, production, and internal teams. The ideal candidate should have solid communication, follow-up, and planning skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer orders and coordinate the complete merchandising process.- Communicate with buyers, clients, suppliers, and production teams.- Develop and follow up on samples, approvals, and product specifications.- Prepare and maintain order sheets, costing, purchase orders, and production documents.- Track production schedules and ensure timely order completion.- Coordinate fabric, trims, accessories, and other material requirements.- Monitor quality standards and resolve production-related issues.- Follow up on shipment schedules and delivery commitments.- Maintain accurate records of orders,



samples, approvals, and correspondence.- Conduct market and competitor research to identify product and trend opportunities.- Ensure customer requirements and deadlines are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Fashion, Textile, Merchandising, or a related field.- 1–5 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in garments, textiles, fashion, or retail.- Good knowledge of product development and production processes.- Strong communication and negotiation skills.- Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic computer applications.- Strong organizational, coordination, and follow-up abilities.- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
