ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring a Senior Manager/ Manager – Taxation to own end-to-end direct tax, indirect tax, and books-of-accounts finalisation for a substantial client portfolio, while leading a delivery team of 10–12 professionals. This is a senior, people-leadership role: you will be the final technical checkpoint before client sign-off and the primary career and delivery manager for your team, not an individual-contributor tax role with reporting responsibilities bolted on.

The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise across direct tax and GST, is comfortable finalising books of accounts independently,



and has working exposure to basic transfer pricing and cross-border/international taxation — gained either through client work or through working alongside a specialist team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct Tax
Independently manage direct tax compliance, planning, and advisory for a portfolio of corporate and cross-border clients.
Review and finalise income tax computations, returns, and tax positions taken by the team.
Handle income tax notices, assessments, and departmental proceedings, including drafting responses and representing at hearings where required.
Identify tax risk and planning opportunities proactively for clients and escalate material exposures to the Principal.

Indirect Tax (GST & TDS)
Own GST compliance end-to-end: GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns (GSTR-9/9C) and reconciliations for the portfolio.
Review and resolve GST reconciliation discrepancies before they reach the client.
